We can find plenty of book recommendations on the Web but nothing compares with your ability to capture the essential elements of a book bringing the story and the characters to life.

I absolutely love the opportunity you offer to share our opinions on the book of the month: it’s so interesting to listen to the comments and the Club members never fail to provide original insights and points of views that open up new perspectives on the story.

The Comfort Book Club has been a wonderful way to engage with new books whilst feeling a part of a lovely community of readers. Miranda and Donna’s carefully selected titles have allowed me to discover new authors that would have previously been overlooked, particularly those who have written children’s literature or books set in the interwar years. The CBC made me realise I enjoy having a bit of structure in my life. Planning what I will read exactly this month never works with me as I tend to follow impulses and let the books find their way to me as well as making sure I have many waiting for their time to be picked. However, I loved having almost like a curriculum to follow too and I’m happily following it because, after years of watching your videos, you have my trust….There is also an element of pleasant anticipation and surprise with the CBC when I’m looking forward to you announcing the future book club choices. — Anna
