A Chat with Slightly Foxed Co-Founder, Gail Pirkis

In my latest podcast episode, I’m in conversation with Gail Pirkis, co-founder of the fabulous independent publishing company and literary journal, Slightly Foxed.

I’ve been a fan of Slightly Foxed publications for such a long time, and this year celebrates their 20th anniversary. It was so much fun to ask Gail about some of her highlights from the past twenty years and to hear about the beginnings of Slightly Foxed as a real ‘kitchen table’ enterprise.

Slightly Foxed focuses on republishing classic memoirs in beautiful, clothbound hardbacks. Their literary magazine is a quarterly treat, with a collection of essays on lesser-known and backlisted books published four times a year as an attractive soft-cover journal

In our conversation, Gail tells me about what she thinks makes a great book review and also shares some book suggestions for the autumn and winter. I hope you enjoy our chat as much as I did!
