Friday’s Gratitude List #13

Quote of the week: ‘The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.’ – Jane Austen

When on holiday, the days and weeks all seem to merge into one, and it’s hard even to remember what day of the week it is.Β Here are thee things that have kept me in holiday mood over the last week.

-My Christmas presents. I was lucky enough to get some lovely things for Christmas, but I think my favourite gift was this gorgeous set of Vintage Classics Jane Austen novels. January is my least favourite month of the year (too dark and cold!), so I think rereading all the books of my favourite novelist will be a good way to keep cheerful.

-Leftovers. I just love leftovers! As well as finishing off all remaining mince pies (erm, diet starts Monday), I’ve been having fun experimenting with some recipes to make the most of all the scraps left in my fridge. I’ll be posting some of them soon!

-Catching up on favourite blogs. It’s been a lot of fun reading other bloggers’ festive exploits over the last couple of weeks. I’ve updated my Blogs I Love page with some of my favourite reads – do check them out if you’re looking for fresh inspiration for the new year!

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week and have a fantastic weekend ahead of you!

  • Your photos always inspire me! Mmm, I’m loving all the Christmas leftovers too but it’s my birthday on Monday so my diet starts on Tuesday. πŸ˜‰ Thank you SO much for the mention in your blogs you love page, we’re massively flattered and I’m excited to check out the ones I haven’t heard of!
